A stunning villa in a Sri Lanka holiday paradise
Located in the eastern Sri Lankan city of Batticaloa, our property is a beautiful two bedroom holiday home. Anyone seeking luxury Sri Lanka holidays with all of the comforts of a conventional tropical vacation will adore its amenities and location. The house sits on a peninsular of land which lies opposite the city of Batticaloa, but it is easy to reach the town via bicycle or tuk tuk. Instead of lying within a bustling city, the neighbourhood is a fishing village, and the property used to be the home of a local fisherman. Today, it is an oasis of tranquillity, with coconut palms, comfortable hammocks and the gently lapping waters of the lagoon. With this kind of solitude and exclusivity, it is also the ideal place to enjoy the benefits of Ayurveda and Yoga, with its sprawling gardens and few distractions beyond the lovely scenery. The home is looked after by a housekeeper, and your needs will also be covered by a personal assistant, who can help with ordering delicious local food and other essentials. There can be few better places for a Sri Lanka holiday. The house offers privacy and space to meditate. It offers beautiful grounds, a gorgeous lagoon, the attractions of the coast and the hospitality of the local people. Who could ask for more from holiday bungalows in Sri Lanka?

Every comfort and amenity that holidays to Sri Lanka can provide
The interior offers plenty of space, with a comfortable living room and a fully equipped bathroom. The rooms include everything that holiday bungalows in Sri Lanka should provide. Each bedroom includes a mosquito net to protect sleepers, and the living room is furnished with seating upon which guests can relax in the evening. Guests will be fully catered for, with a fridge freezer, and kettle to prepare a rejuvenating cup of local tea. The home has no kitchen. Instead, it is simple to order in locally prepared vegetarian dishes, and the housekeeper will be ready to assist with this whenever required. Families in the village will be happy to provide freshly cooked traditional Sri Lankan meals, and the many superb restaurants in the city of Batticaloa are only a few kilometres away. There are plenty of seats inside the house on which to relax with a book, listen to music or just to contemplate the views around the house.
Visitors will also love the open fire place which can provide warmth when the Sri Lanka weather turns chilly in the evenings. It can also be used to grill freshly caught fish from the lagoon or the sea, so why not try to catch your own dinner with the assistance of the local fishermen? Beyond the interior, the home also possesses garden of almost 1000 square metres, which backs onto the Batticaloa lagoon. There is external seating with views across the lagoon, along with a dining table for al fresco feasts. Few of the hotels Sri Lanka offers can beat this combination of comfort, excellent service and beautiful scenery.
Beautiful grounds and the gorgeous scenery of Sri Lanka
The spectacular garden fronts onto the Batticaloa lagoon which is a placid, safe and clean body of water, while the sea is only 300m away from the house as well. Known as one of the most restful, popular sites in Sri Lanka, the waters of the lagoon provide a peaceful place for visitors to bathe and enjoy the water in the reliably hot tropical sunshine. Beach chairs are also provided to make relaxation as enjoyable as possible. And, for thrill seekers, there is a coastal beach a few hundred metres away. Because the property sits on a peninsular, you can experience impressive waves that surfers will love, as well as the still waters of the lagoon, ensuring that everyone will be able to enjoy themselves. There are also bikes available at the property, and the countryside around the house is exceptional cycling terrain. If they are keen to leave the house, visitors can easily head to local landmarks like the beach at Kallady and the Dutch Fort in Batticaloa town. At the nearby Batti Lagoon Park, visitors can even hire paddle boats and kayaks to explore the mangrove fringed shore, and motor boat tours to Batticaloa city can also be arranged. Batticaloa is also well known in Sri Lanka for its wonderful cooking, using the plentiful coconuts and seafood - with a generous helping of spice. So try the many kinds of dish that local people will be happy to serve, and experience things that tourism in Sri Lanka rarely manages to offer. With its spacious garden, comfortable interior and proximity to both the lagoon and the sea, our holiday home offers much more than any hotels ever could.
